On march 8 is commemorated the International day of the person that bought us to the world, that their principal characteristics are the strenght to move foward and is a tireless worker and, day-by-day, fights to get what she wants: The woman.

On march 8th 1908 women died in a fire on the Cotton Factory, in New York, this because they went on strike staying in the workplace. The strike was because they were seeking a 10 work hours, a salary like men’s and better work conditions. The owner gave little attention and ordered to close the gates of the building so they could leave the place, which caused the death of the female workers.

This caused that on may 10th, of the same year, an act for the Women’s Day in Chicago was made, preamble so in february 28th, of the next year, was the first commemoration of the “National Women’s Day” for the first time. One year later, the first International Conference of socialists women in Copenhague was carried out when the principal topic was the universal vote for the women and it was then that the International Women’s Day on march 8th was procclaimed, in tribute to the death women for the strike in 1908.

Ingredients

  • 500 g of black beans (pot beans).
  • 10 slices of Capistrano turkey ham to decorate.
  • 16 corn tortillas
  • ¼ of fresh cheese or one that is easy to crumble
  • Mexican sauce
  • 3 small tomatoes
  • ¼ onion
  • 2 green chillies or 1 very hot chili
  • Coriander fist.
  • ½ glass of fresh milk of your preference
  • 250 ml of sour cream

How to prepare

  1. Pour into blender the beans along with the glass of milk (if it’s thick we must dilute it until it becomes a soft cream with texture). In a pan we have to place the mixture, add salt and pepper to taste.
  2. Chop the ingredients in small cubes and the coriander as fine as possible.
  3. Take the tortilla with a clamp and submerge it into the sauce, place it on the dish and fold it in half. Finally, add sauce, cream, cheese, sauce, the ham and there you go.
